The Global Partnership for Security and
Peace (GPSP) is an international community operating at the civil society level which focuses
on advancing security issues locally, regionally and globally. In order to
achieve this objective, the GPSP aims to share best practises and work
collaboratively to generate tools
for decisionmakers and other actors in the field.
OUR mission
Promote
a collaborative cross-regional approach to democratic security governance in
order to foster the development of perspectives grounded in local contexts.

To
significantly contribute to building a community of policy-influential
specialists in the field of democratic security for and from a global
perspective.
DEVELOP
CAPACITIES
The
participating civil society organisations endeavour to complement, optimise and
improve one another’s capacity to work on common issues.
CREATE
The
focus should be on delivering projects, promoting new ideas, finding creative
solutions to current issues and disseminating these results to the wider
community with the objective of influencing policymaking.
EXCHANGE
THROUGH PRACTISE
Through
collaborative work, members from the different regions and institutions can
learn more effectively and efficiently; and overcome any obstacles related to
localised and fragmented knowledge production.
PROVIDE
A PLATFORM FOR SOLIDARITY
Establish a platform for collaboration which will promote solidarity by
highlighting shared issues and challenges; and incentivising the community to
find collective solutions.
